>Andrew Henry’s Meadow

>One of my all-time favorite books as a child was Andrew Henry’s Meadow by Doris Burn. About a boy who like to invent things and was totally misunderstood by his family. He decided to run away and build himself a home in a nearby meadow so he could invent without getting yelled at by his parents and siblings. Soon other misunderstood children came to the meadow needing a place to “be themselves” and Henry built each child a dwelling that suited their eccentricities.
I won’t put any spoilers in here so I’ll stop now.
I see that this title is up for a possible movie and I totally hope it makes it so the book will become popular. But I hope, if they do make a movie out of it, that they don’t screw it up like most movies based on books are.
