Where the Wild Things Are – Maurice Sendak

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak is one of my favorite books, ever. Even as an adult, I occasionally pick it up to gaze at the intricate illustrations and read the simple words that tell a complex story. I can relate to Max when I’m having a bad day; to get in a boat and sail away from it all and have a wild rumpus to release pent up frustrations. Then to sail back and be home in time for a warm meal…

Maurice Sendak you will be missed but your memory will live on in each of your stories and illustrations.
